Adult Activities
One of the easiest ways to be involved in the life of our church family is to gather weekly with other adults for fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and connection. Each Wednesday night we offer a variety of activities and small groups for our adults.
Our time together each week begins at 6:00pm in the Chapel for a brief time of worship and prayer. This time is led by Rev. Brandon Owen, Paul Reeves, Maria Goodwin, and BJ Greer. A spotify playlist has been made of the songs that we will be singing during this time of worship. Feel free to click the link. This playlist will be updated throughout the semester.
After worship, adult small groups meet 6:30-7:30pm on Wednesday nights in the Main Building. The room for each group is listed below. If you have students and children, they can participate in the Wonderful Wednesday activities for children that are listed below.
Small Groups for SPRING 2025
The Rock, The Road, The Rabbi
Led by Cooter & Nancy Swanson: Co-ed Room 251
Begin your journey to a deeper faith by traveling to the land where the Bible was written. This study will reveal, Jesus (the Rock) came into this world and walked the lands of Israel (the Road) to show us the way to God. And when we are introduced to the mysteries of God’s Word (the Rabbi) and understand it in the context in which it was written, radical transformation begins to renew our hearts and minds. The study book can be purchased from the church for $12 or you can purchase online here.
The Vectors Group
Led by Nick Spratlen: Fellowship Hall Parlor
This co-ed class will be studying the book “Into the Heart of Romans: A Deep Dive into Paul’s Greatest Letter” by N.T. Wright. This book focuses on Romans 8 and showing how it illuminates so much else that God reveals in scripture. You can purchase a book online here.
Emotionally Healthy Spirituality
Led by Paul Reeves: Room 252
Abundant life is available here and now. When this isn’t experienced it’s easy to blame our church, our past, or other external factors, but we typically stand in our own way. Therefore, the first step to healthy fruit is preparing the soil of the leader’s heart. This group, led by Paul Reeves, our Minister of Pastoral Care and Contemporary Worship, will lead us through the book Emotionally Healthy Spirituality by Peter Scazzero. The study book can be purchased from the church for $12 or you can purchase online here.
Women’s Devotion & Prayer Time
Led by Ann Phillips: Room 300
Women are invited to join this group each week as we study None Like Him: 10 Ways God is Different From Us by Jen Wilkin. God is self-existent, self-sufficient, eternal, immutable, omnipresent, omniscient, omnipotent, sovereign, infinite, and incomprehensible. We’re not. And that’s a good thing. Join us as we discover how our limitations are by design. We were never meant to be God. But at the root of every sin is our rebellious desire to possess attributes that belong to God alone. Ann Phillips will lead us each week as we learn to celebrate the freedom that comes when we rest in letting God be God. You do not need to purchase a book, just come ready to learn, discuss, and fellowship with one another.
Wonderful Wednesday
for Children
Wonderful Wednesdays are a time when our children get to explore their faith and learn how they can share God's love around the world, and how to worship God through many different art forms! Each Wednesday children ages 3 years-old* through 5th grade will participate in age-graded Children's Worship Arts classes and rotation classes. Some of the activities your child will experience are singing, drama, playing instruments, missions, Bible study, games, and lots more! For more information about Wonderful Wednesdays, click here.
*Childcare for infants through 2 year olds is provided in our nursery beginning at 5:45pm for parents attending a Bible study, seminar class, or Adult Choir practice.
Student Ministry
Volunteer Opportunity
Serving in the church and being a leader are important skills for our Students as they grow in their faith and continue to follow Jesus. Our Students (6th Grade through college) are welcome to volunteer with the Children's Ministry on Wednesday nights.

Students who sign up to volunteer will assist with our Children's Worship Arts groups and our Rotation Stations for preschoolers through 5th grade. Students who volunteer can receive volunteer hour credit for their school or organization.
