More than sixty years ago Snookie and Bernie Brown met, fell in love and married while completing their college educations.  Since retiring, they together have felt a distinct call from God to give of themselves in support of projects, programs and ministries that bring “eternal value” to others. They are very focused on not only leaving a legacy to their family and friends, but also believe in living their legacy before they are gone. One of the areas of this effort has been writing. Since 2012, Bernie has authored six books. Snookie co-authored one of these, was the photographer for four, wrote the forward of one and was “editor for life” for all of his books.

The program for the JOY luncheon will include their testimony concerning this subject, plus some gospel music. Afterward, their books will be available for purchase (cash or checks). All proceeds from the sale will go to the First Baptist Church – Grateful Legacy Fund.
