There can be no higher priority for a Christian than worship. The entire Christian way of life depends upon an ongoing, personal relationship to God as Lord of our lives. Not only is daily worship important for each individual and family, but worship with other Christians (“corporate worship”) also inspires and blesses us in a unique, special way. God has promised, “Where two or three gather together because they are mine, I will be right there among them.” (Matthew 18:20) When we come to church, not to be “entertained” as an audience, but to glorify God in spirit and in truth, we encounter the living God, the Holy Spirit among us! We feel renewed in heart, mind and spirits, closer to God and one another, fortified for another week of our faith-walk with the Lord.
Our pastor, Dr. Bill Ross, and our associate pastor of music and worship, Dr. Paul Hill, prayerfully plan each worship service so that our praise, confession, thanksgiving, prayers, and God’s message through music and the spoken word enables us as a body of believers to be strengthened by this powerful gathering before God.
“I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the house of the Lord.” (Psalm 122:1)
